‘WE MAKE A LIVING BY WHAT WE GET, BUT WE MAKE A LIFE BY WHAT WE GIVE ‘ SIR WINSTON CHURCHILL
Being Socially Responsible means that people and organisations must behave ethically and with sensitivity toward social, cultural, economic, and environmental issues. Striving for social responsibility helps individuals, organisations, and governments have a positive impact on development, business, and society with a positive contribution to bottom-line results.
The St Peter’s Educational Society tries to encourage and instill in all its members, staff, and the children that attend Individual Social Responsibility, a sense of belonging, with which comes the need to nurture and invest in one’s own environment. ISR may appear to be a new concept in relation to CSP, but it is a concept as old as The Golden Rule — Do unto others, as you would have them do unto you.
The administrative and teaching staff at St Peter’s work closely with local and international volunteers to rehabilitate, care for, and home injured as well as healthy street dogs. The puppies and dogs are vaccinated, fed, and loved by all at school, until they are adopted and found homes, within India and at international locations.
